Really? Everything I heard about was overwhelmingly positive, and it's honestly really great. You should definitely check out Elegy because it's a really really great story and some eye-meltingly good art.

And SHUT UP SPOONY YOU'RE STUPID
In all honesty it's probably just too much internet in my face telling me about the horribleness of current comic book industry trends. One article I did read was saying a lot of potentially great series had gotten canceled due to lack of sales, so the combined negativity and my brief browsing at the store just didn't leave me too interested.

Granted, large changes will always incite anger from those who liked things the way they were, so maybe series just needed time to get into their swing. I'll definitely check out Batwoman when I can get to a comic book store.

I definitely recommend checking out Elegy first (if you can't find the book you can get the issues on Comixology). And the collected volume of Hydrology, the first Batwoman arc from the New 52, like just came out this week. I'd definitely check that out afterwards.

I will definitely check those out Xab, thanks!

Ah man, Transmetropolitan, that's another series I need to finish. I was only able to get the first volume, didn't have cheddar afterwards to spend on comics. :s

You know, I didn't actually care much for the first issue. It seemed like it was jut going to be whacky crazy adventures of an ostentatious dick, but it actually develops quite a lot of heart as it goes along.

I don't usually expect the first volumes of series to do more than pique my interest. Series are always on shaky grounds when they come out, not being sure if they'll get the green-light to continue for more than four or five issues. As long as the first volume intrigues me, has entertaining or engaging characters, neat art (because I am admittedly superficial in that sense), and the groundwork for a potentially good story, I'll give it a go. Transmetro definitely met all those points.

The amount of times I squeaked "MY BABY" during today's Korra is probably not a good sign.

I was disappointed by the lack of Meelo in this episode but incredibly pleased by sexy Steve Blum voice and Mako and Bolin being the hottest things ever.

ALSO SO MUCH PLOT THIS EPISODE

I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SERIES
