episode 3?

they aired two episodes?

did it end at Amon saying something like "we'll have to speed up our plans then"?

I think it was originally set up to be 12 episodes, but according to the wiki:
Quote:
The series is currently under production and is expected to run for two seasons and a total of twenty-six episodes, with options for more.

This is good news indeed.
I really like the characterization of both Korra and Tenzin. I think this is going to be a really interesting series and it's going to be much more mature and put-together than the first one. I think it's a great way for it to grow.

Surprisingly I was able to watch Korra on the official site with very little buffering (and what little there was only lasted for three seconds at most).

I am so excited to watch more. Korra is so naive and inexperienced (i.e. kinda dumb, haha), I'm excited to watch her character develop. Bolin and Mako are entertaining so far (especially Bolin, him pandering to the crowd was great); I get strong Zuko vibes from Mako but it's just that high-cheekbone, dark-haired, brooding attitude he's got goin' on.

The show seems like it's going to deal with a lot of current social issues and I'm really looking forward to seeing how they handle them. They touched upon poverty, homelessness, discrimination, social statuses and entitlement so far, I'm hoping they all end up getting addressed at some point.

I still have that super-giddiness at having finally watched it after MONTHS of waiting, coupled with those rose-tinted glasses since I love the series, but I am genuinely very pop flyin' with what I've seen. The animation and soundtrack are just, aaaaaaaaa~ The music they played during the police chase scenes, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~ I love the variation.

Has anybody else read Atomic Robo? It's written by Brian Clevinger of 8-Bit Theatre and it's fucking awesome.

Just

EVERYTHING ABOUT THE LEGEND OF KORRA

The music is fantastic, the animation is ridiculously smooth, and good lord are the characters fantastic.

Especially Bolin and Tenzin.

Is that the scene where he sends out a bunch of Mantis men on the crowd?

Just finished watching the first two episodes of Korra. They were amazing. I am glad that it didn't turn out to be a GURRL POWAH show. I am also glad that she uses all three elements she's learned regularly, rather than when Aang just stuck to Airbending most of the time. The only thing I still have issue with is the setting. The tech level is just.... I didn't expect cars or radios or electricity. It seems like some kind of fanfiction, in my opinion. The art is still excellent, it's just that the setting seems out of place when just however many years ago they only had airships and most people were living in Medieval to tribal level styles.

The fire nation had all of that, and more.
So did a large chunk of the earth nation.

I know, but it's just weird that they went from medieval asia to 1920s-level tech within the span of, what was it, about 100 or so years? I'm not saying that the show sucks, I'm just saying that the setting is just weird.

Our own world went from "flying machines are impossible" to LANDING ON THE FUCKING MOON in the same amount of time as the time in between the series.

I think that as soon as the war was over the fire nation most likely shared whatever tech they had, so the technological progress makes sense.
