This.

Comics start taking up a lot of space after a while, and selling them online (maybe even a bit cheaper) makes it very easy for people to try one. You could easily still sell printed versions for the people that are really into that and not lose any cheddar, because you only need to put it up there once for millions of people to get it.

It also opens up a lot more space to put more experimental comics out there.

I'm reading a book, Reinventing Comics by Scott McCloud, that while talking about what comics should do in this day and age, pretty much said that. Go digital, more shelf space, maybe cheaper prices.
Haven't finished it yet, but it's a good read.

You may get a chuckle out of this, then.

This would have have made the series even better.

In all seriousness, Scott McCloud is a genius.
I read his Understanding Comics book.

Putting comics online in a format outside Kindle books could enable more comic book piracy. I know it still happens with print comics, I see screenshots from /co/ often enough (although I know a lot of people who will buy the comics after seeing those), but it just takes quite a bit of effort out of the equation for the uploaders.

I don't want to argue about internet piracy because it's an endless debate, and if you want to know what my views are on internet piracy, Jonathan Coulton explains it a lot better than I ever could. (It also touches on people buying products they like after seeing/hearing/trying pirated versions.)

I would certainly hope they don't stop printing comics, for the same reason I never want to see book printing cease, and the same reason I buy webcomic compilations. I love having physical copies. Nothing really compares to turning the page.

Hm, I need to look into Wakfu.
Granted I'd watch them all in one go then, when I'd prefer to have another series to wait on, besides Doctor Who and boners.

Also, Sax, that was more than a chuckle.
Yes, I agree, Scott McCloud is genius, in fact Reinventing was the last piece I needed to get to finish his Comics books. Guess I'll get around to finish reading it now that I'm spring break.

Augh, I really want to start Wakfu season 2.

Maybe if I get a calander and rip off the months one by one, time will fast-forward to the point where I am in an apartment with good internet.

The return of Flutterbitch.
That was honestly sort of worrying, it was if she had been Discorded again.

But on a lighter note, the return of the Mailstallion!

Young Justice is back on Cartoon Network as part of a Saturday morning cartoon block. Another show in that block is the new Green Lantern cartoon, which is pretty sweet.

Also, the Aquabats Super Show is awesome.
