Goddamn, all nicktoons play nowadays is Avatar and Dragon ball Z Kai. It's ridiculous.
It used to be Kappa Mikey, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko and all the other great shows.

Nicktoons plays DBZ?
That's a 4kids thing.

They used to play Invader Zim too.
Then it was cancelled and reinstated,
MULTIPLE TIMES.
What a beautiful disaster that was.

And you're right. They got through the Frieza saga in a reasonable amount of episodes.
And the dub is actually by Funimation, rather than 4kids.

I thought Kappa Mikey was a good idea. The execution was hit or miss, most of the time.

Really? I thought Kappa Mikey was terrible and obnoxious.

Shrug, guess I'm in the minority.

I'm not saying it was awesome, I'm just saying that it was hit or miss. I would have loved to see it with a higher level of animation than Flash.

Kappa Mikey could have been executed SO much better. It was a very interesting concept, and honestly if it got into the hands of a more serious writer, I know that sounds weird, it could have been much better. Sort of a, Who Framed Roger Rabit, kind of show you know? It could have been wackey and zainy but also very interesting and awesome. I would LOVE to see that show reborn into something better.

Actually, apparently they're running something called DBZ Kai, which is somehow different from regular DBZ. I think someone told me it was just more streamlined so characters weren't screaming for three episodes straight while charging up a spirit bomb or something.

So that's the difference!
I was wondering.
I watched a few episodes, but couldn't tell the difference.

The difference is the trip to Namek only took two episodes.
