My copy of the first volume of Gigamix finally arrived today, and though it doesn't come with character bios like Megamix did, there were some pretty pictures at the start of the book. So, I scanned those in instead.

Plum, Ripot, Chest etc.

Snazzy picture of Megaman

Buncha robot masters from the 3rd and 7th games

Shademan

And last but not least, an amusing ancient engraving of Terra that appeared early on in the story and that made me laugh more than it should have. What is wrong with his nose :psyduck:

So we do have a Mega Man thread! Yeeeees, now I can stalk this instead of the general games thread or make one myself~ Providing my attempt at a thread revival works this time.

I really want to get both 9 and 10 for my Wii, but I haven't been on it for ages and only went on the Shop channel like once. Regardless, I've heard it's fully Nintendo Hard, like the NES games from before I was able of playing vidiya games, so this'll also allow me to get a chunk of what games used to be like before ...uh... most of the games I have that are considered easy.

To be honest, I have low patience in some situations and ragequitting hard stages and looking things up online for the easy method happens a lot (espicially in Prof. Layton games with the stupid puzzles) but I am so interesting in the Mega Man games i'm willing to try something that will take a lot of tries.

I want to. So much. Please tell me that I can still get the games from the Wii Shop.

If anyone has seen my dA favs from a few days ago, it contains most of the first two pages of serch results on that site from typing in 'Mega Man' and veiwing 120 popular deviations at a time. I also ransacked Chloemew's robot master pics.

Yes you can, there's also some DLC on them. They're great, I recommend them. 9 is great and 10 even greater.

Yeah, go for 9 if you can only get one of them, it's by far the best of the two. It's a lot harder, though, so you might want to try 10 first? 10 also has an easy mode you could try, but then you might have trouble weaning yourself off of all the advantages it throws your way when you want to try 9.

Oh? I thought 10 was better. More of its "own" beast than 9, that in my opinion is a lot more like older Mega Man games than 10 (both musically and from a stage design point of view). I think the bosses in MM9 are better though, but the extra modes in 10 are great.

I prefer 9 overall, probably because it seemed more traditional to me, but yeah I guess I can agree that 10 was more of a unique entry to the series.

Which one is better depends on whether or not you're looking for a Mega Man 2 level pack (not a bad thing at all) or a fresh thing, I guess.

Oh awesome, I'll do more looking into it sometime then~

What's a DLC herp derp I don't know sorry

Also I'm not sure how you buy things from the Wii Shop, but I've seen £15 gift cards in Sainsbury's and I can probably persuade my parents, as it'll be my Birthday in Feburary and I have Christmas cheddar.

Yaaay~

DLC is DownLoadable Content, it's extra content you gotta pay for!

To buy games on the Wii Shop, you can buy Nintendo Points Cards in video games stores. You can check the price of the games on the Wii Shop (it's in the WiiWare section!) and then buy the right amount of points on Cards from a store. You can also buy points directly from your Wii, but that requires a credit card.

Ah, ok. I may have to get one of those gift cards or do some Top Class pleading with my parents then, but if I can get the games, I'll be so pop flyin'~

Thanks Great Handsome Oppressor and YCobb, you guys are awesome.
