I must admit, I laughed my booty off watching that.

Personally I think watching it without the music makes it horrifying. There's just something about old MIDI sounds that give me bad vibes.
Pair it up with clunky animation and you've got some grade-A nightmare fuel right there.

why is the simple removal of eyebrows so disturbing

I think it's because we're so acquainted with the general features of human anatomy that if even one of the things were removed that it looks inhuman and abominable.

I think it's because it falls into the Uncanny Valley.

For people unfamiliar with the term, it means that when something is close to looking and moving like a real human you instantly pick it out as fake and disturbing. The further away it gets the less trouble you will have with it because it won't seem as if it's trying to be human anymore.
