Because SBT never changes, it could just be called "Lance's Shennanigans"
Well, it does tend to focus on Lance, yeah, but the other characters have been getting some development, too. Octus has had some amazing moments, and Ilana's becoming quite the heroine.
The tank bit in this last episode was so great. I am so glad they didn't have her freak out, but instead take charge and get the guy to safety, and blow a couple dozen Mutraddi out of the way while at it.Crush Bandicoot wrote:
SBT is hitting that point with me where it's starting to piss me off how the characters never change.
Same thing all the time, change is removed at the end of the episode.
It's not so much that change is removed, it's just that it's gradual. Go back and watch some episodes and you can see it. Showdown at Sherman High, for example, had Ilana step forward as the hero on the loudspeaker, which was a great moment, but then she ended up still making a fool of herself for taking it too far. And that's realistic, because those major epiphany character-change moments that happen in cartoons don't really happen like that in real life. Character development is more gradual than that, and I for one am pop flyin' with the show so far, even if it does tend to gravitate more toward Lance. Usually I don't mind. Lance character development is good too, I like all three of them and just the show in general. The three characters work well together, and they've been developing all three, really, as well as working on the history and the conflict on Galaluna.
This last episode just wasn't as good as it could have been.
Why in the world do I type these long-butt things that no one cares about.
