And a show meant to sell toys to five year old girls shouldn't be watched by anyone that has hit puberty.

Hey guys, remember those things called opinions? And how we're not supposed to judge people for them? Yeah, those are great.

Pretty much the only compliment to the show I hear is: "it's good."

To you post-puberty young adults, how is this a good show?

It's well written and deals with friendship issues that people of any age can relate to.

...

That's probably the best explanation of the show I've spat out thus far.

ALSO COLOURFUL PONIES! YAAAY!

Just a reminder.

Enjoyment is not necessarilly an indicator of quality.

I have no intention of attempting to rob anybody of their wholly valid experience, but "this is a good show" and "I like this show" are very different statements.

I like microwave hamburgers. They're frozen lumps of what may or may not be meat, I nuke them for two minutes, bam, whole burger. It is probably slowly killing me. It is in no way food. I'm not going to rave about how gourmet a frozen fucking hamburger is. It's shitty, horrible, terrible food, and I love them and I am going to contiue eating and loving them.

It honestly is well written and deals with real issues and teaches good life lessons in a clear and concise - if not colourful - way.

When was the last time anybody said that about an anime?

I appreciate the show for things other than that, but the writing really is very good - not that I'm trying to convert anyone.

My Little Pony is one of the better childrens shows. It's artistic style is just pleasing to the eye, its not like watching cheap CGI or like some weird lineless papercraft art that you make when you're 13 and just learning how to make it. It has excellent voice acting, unlike others yada yada yada.

Its just a new show that people enjoy, and its not like every other run-of-the-mill show that companies keep pumping out of the children show cash cow. It's new, its different, and, whatever. Its just my two cents.

Like DnD said. I'm not trying to convert anyone, I'm just saying, its not like those Nick Jr shows that just teach kids foreign language EVERY DAY.

I didn't mean you specifically there DnD. Not having watched much of the show past the odd youtube clip, I can't say much about the writing - but, really, posting stupid hater's gonna hate pictures because somebody disagrees with your poorly expressed opinion?

Note that nowhere did I say this is a bad show. Just, think about it. People out there sincerely enjoy reading Buckley strips. Need I go further?

Whatever Spoony. People can have different likes and dislikes. You like those nuke patties you mentioned earlier. Some people may also like them. Then others probably won't.

Personally I really don't like MSPA, even though almost everyone here does. Doesn't matter to me, they like certain things, I like certain things, just live and let live.

I don't disagree on any particular point there. If people want to watch shows about horsies, more power to them. I hope their cup runneth over with horsies. I'm certainly not going to sign my name on the petition to put a trade embargo on horse land. However, subjective entertainment does not imply objective quality.
