Sadlygrove and Rubilax switched bodies? Oh my. Remi seems like he'll be a good addition as a rival character.

Watched that last SBT on youtube, it was pretty good but not as good as I was hoping, given the plot. How they escaped from Galaluna? Lots of story potential and they wasted it all in a fifteen minute sword fight.

SBT is hitting that point with me where it's starting to piss me off how the characters never change.

Same thing all the time, change is removed at the end of the episode.

Because SBT never changes, it could just be called "Lance's Shennanigans"

Well, it does tend to focus on Lance, yeah, but the other characters have been getting some development, too. Octus has had some amazing moments, and Ilana's becoming quite the heroine.
The tank bit in this last episode was so great. I am so glad they didn't have her freak out, but instead take charge and get the guy to safety, and blow a couple dozen Mutraddi out of the way while at it.

It's not so much that change is removed, it's just that it's gradual. Go back and watch some episodes and you can see it. Showdown at Sherman High, for example, had Ilana step forward as the hero on the loudspeaker, which was a great moment, but then she ended up still making a fool of herself for taking it too far. And that's realistic, because those major epiphany character-change moments that happen in cartoons don't really happen like that in real life. Character development is more gradual than that, and I for one am pop flyin' with the show so far, even if it does tend to gravitate more toward Lance. Usually I don't mind. Lance character development is good too, I like all three of them and just the show in general. The three characters work well together, and they've been developing all three, really, as well as working on the history and the conflict on Galaluna.

This last episode just wasn't as good as it could have been.

Why in the world do I type these long-butt things that no one cares about. :psyduck:

a aspect I don't really like of the show is how they mentioned lance father "died". because I can tell at some point he is going to come back, I would be surprised if he didn't come back at some point. I however really liked the part after that where lance is in the academy and has belief that his dads going to come back

I also want to know what octus's back story is.

Well his father disappeared into the Rift Gate, so everyone assumed he died, but it was never confirmed. Personally, I think he's involved with G3 somehow- they have Galalunean technology, and Solomon and Lance have the same fighting style, and at the end of that episode we see a part of a Manus armor. Only thing is, where would Lance's father have gotten a Manus? And the Academy taught Lance to fight, not his father, so it actually probably isn't. But I wouldn't be surprised if he is involved somehow.

Also, Octus was partially addressed in this week's episode, but only barely. Something I really didn't like about this episode. :colbert:
It would appear that Ilana's father created Octus. And then just sent him with them when he sent them to Earth, and that was the first time they met, which is consistent with the first episode.
