Welcome, gentlemen to my lair of evil torture, where you might survive, but won't, but maybe you WILL, but no, you won't :(.

This thread is for the shittiest, most nerve racking games ever made, like Superman 64, and Big Rigs: Over the road racing.

Let the torture begin.

ET. You hear about how bad it is a lot, but I've actually had the misfortune of playing it.

Exere's avatar and statement make that sound a bit less serious than it should have sounded.

Imo Okamidan was one of my more disappointing game experiences.

Maybe its just because its a sequel but it felt alot less epic than the original.... felt more like a plea for cash than an experience in gaming nirvana :/

That and Realm of the Mad God. Permadeath, Menu tooltips that misplace positioning, movement freezing. options that don't show up if you do certain things...

I like the bullet hell shooter style but c'mon man I can barely half see the tools Im trying to use and I really need that coordination to keep my character out of the path of lets say... Oryx's Hadoken Mindfucks....

Which is strange, considering the forum has spellcheck built right in.

For example, it's telling me that spellcheck isn't actually a word. Go figure.

It is correct. "Spellcheck" isn't a word, but "spell check" is. Two words actually, but it is the correct way to write it...

I believe this falls under the category of acceptable breaks from perfect spelling and grammar.

Spyro: Eternal Night for the DS. I borrowed it from a friend to see what it was all about...ugh. Awful. The controls were so shoddy that moving was very difficult, especially in the multitude of platforming areas. The camera moved on its' own and hid Spyro from view. The graphics made platforming even more difficult than the controls did, because there was no difference between a cliff and a flat surface, appearance-wise.
And the battle system was badly screwed up. Bosses could hit you even if you jumped to dodge and the attacks took off a quarter of your health, while you had to run around spitting little fire embers at them which hardly did any damage at all.

Darkened Skye. Rented it once back when that was a thing and regretted it. Whole plot revolved around Skittles. Get Skittles to cast magic, get Skittles to defeat vampires, get Skittles to get more Skittles, it was just stupid.

Jade Cocoon, the first Spyro game on the GBA, and my all time favorite Heroes of Mana. This game is best described as the developers having taken a shit and wrapped it up in a game case.

Hey, hey, hey, I have fond memories of Jade Coccoon, thank you very much. The plot was really poor and the gameplay was unmemorable, but it was like 3D Pokemon and I had a lot of fun "breeding" to make new beasties. I kept wishing there would be more animated scenes like in the intro.

Still trying to decide what game I played that was plain bad. There are several games I played that were "bad" but still an enjoyable playthrough.

After much deliberation. Perfect Dark: Zero.

I never got further than to the end of the first level because the controls were just horrible, the weapons felt weird, the voice acting was horrendous, the story stupid, the level design confusing and the enemies were absolutely horribly balanced and impossible to fight against.

Battle Hunter on PlayStation
It's a bad game but when you're 12 with no cheddar and the game is 5€ then you sure as hell buy it and play the shit out of it with your friends

I may want to also add Breath of Fire 2 from the NES on there. Despite having a memorable plot the CHURCH is the bad guy? I found the game really didn't tell you where to go that well, and beyond St Eva alot of the boss battles took forever to do. Some of them took so long in fact I thought I was supposed to lose, and sometimes that wasn't the case. Also those goddamn bouncers at the Cafe. Nastier pieces of work than the ones up at the ghoul bar.
