I noticed someone mentioned Powerup comics as a bad comic here.

Power Up comics is awesome!

People who don't like it, fail to recognise its genius.

The comic is a satire on annoying, unfunny gamer comics written by arrogant nerds to make themselves feel important.

It is deliberately awful, that is why it is so good.

Saying you don't like it for using crap jokes and repeating the same pictures is like saying you don't like Airplane because it is not realistic about what a real air disaster is like. It is not supposed to be, it is supposed to be taking the piss.

Well no, it'd be more like saying you don't like Airplane for its horrible acting and unfunny jokes. I mean, if Airplane did have horrible acting and jokes, rather than being actually good.

Just because something is a parody doesn't mean its automatically funny and thoughtful.

If someone says "I dont think Power up comics is funny because it is a weak, boring parody etc" then while I would not agree with them, I would say they had a valid argument. Obviously, not everyone finds this type of thing funny.
What I was objecting too, is people who attack power up comics as if it was a serious, but poorly made gamer comic, when it is in fact a parody and exaggeration of poorly made gamer comics.
Sorry for not making that important distinction obvious in my initial post.

Disliking PUC is fine, as long as people are disliking it from a position of understanding what it is supposed to be.

That is what it looks like. It tries to combine For Better or For Worse jokes with a cow and breasts. I agree that is bad.

B^u sure but I honestly don't see what's so bad about it.Sure it's boring and un-artistic but i don't see any other kind of facial feature that could be given under those certain circumstances.

And it's not like Garfield doesn't do that every day.

That's why everything his characters say doesn't have to be sarcastic quips! People rarely talk like that -- faces are amazing for portraying emotions and if your dialog is such that the best expression for it is consistently a half-lidded, slack-jawed gape then you may be doing something wrong!
