ALSO if we are moving on to old ps2 games that were cool a long time ago, may I suggest Okage Shadow King because I am pretty sure that was and will continue to be my favourite rpg of all time, ever.

Okage is a pretty cool game, with some awesome music. I played that one more than I usually play RPGs.

Anyway, Okami is one of my favorite games, and I felt an odd joy once I realized the comic was about it.

Now why couldn't we bribe them with feed?

Oh right the leader would probably kick you out if you bribed the sparrow guards and nothing would be gained except you'd probably lose 30 feed bags.

Does Issun carry everything or Ammy? Neither of them seem likely to be able to carry 99 bones, slips of paper, feed bags, and fruit.

The PS2 version in all its golden, shining glory was reserved for those of us with the skills necessary to utilize the DualShock controller to its fullest potential in drawing silly faces on that mask near the end. I became the PS2 equivalent of freaking da vinci. And I definitely did not draw a penis with a pop flyin' face on Ammy's head.

Double post blaaaah I'm lazy.

It took me about a year since playing the game to track down the entire soundtrack for okage, but I've finally compiled the whole thing and I love it so much. Although now every time one of the songs pops up on my ipod I am hit with a profound sense of longing that is almost tangible. Man, I need to get a new PS2. I could seriously go for another round of Hitman and FFX right about now.

Well, they do have the Slim PS2 down to a little over $100 right now, since the PS3 is out. I'd say that's worth the cash. I need to buy myself a new one as well. Need to get back to doin' some DDR. And Guitar H-E-R-O II. (It's SO much better than the newer ones...) ...and some Star Ocean: Til The End of Time (turbo controller is necessary in some parts of the game)... and Soul Calibur II, since it doesn't play for crap on the PS3. Frames skip like hell. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando? Same problem. And... and... well, I can't think of any right now, but I KNOW there are more games I need to play on the good ol' PS2 again.

:psyduck: I miss my PS2.

God I love this game. PS2 was my favorite version of it, too. Nice to see Katie probably/maybe agrees. 8)

*spoilers kinda*
What did you draw during the mask bit in Orochi's lair?

It's very core to the game. I mean, I've used those seeds for Praise lots of times. And if they'd worked on those stupid sparrows it would have saved a really annoying chain.

Although personally I hate the dog chain the most so far.

Actually, I hate that wall on Oni island most of all. "Hit these 5 spots perfectly or else no more game" FFFFFFFF

That's because it was still Harmonix back then. Once Harmonix left (ie Once Rock Band existed) GH was no longer important.
As for "games that don't work on ps3", almost every rhythmn game by Konami goes on that list. And with "chipped" ps2's floating around you could play all the crazy japanese releases like Katamari, IIDX, Pop'n music, Keyboard mania, Drum mania, Guitar Freaks... you'll need a lot of silly controllers though.

The stupid sparrow quest chain is acutally part of the dog quest chain. And that sparrow quest chain isn't as bad as everyone makes it to be really...
Talk to some birds -> go to creepy house -> wait 'til night -> blow up roof -> drag old women into moonlight -> kill demon -> bring dumb bird back to other birds.
Oh FFFFFFUUU that stupid goddamn wall. There are like five of those f**kers too, I think the last one has something like 20 dots, it's ridiculous. Eventually I got really rustled off and just got a dry-erase marker and drew dots all over the screen. Made it a helluva lot easier, though I'm pretty sure I accidentally used a sharpie at some point.. there's still a dot on that tv. :psyduck: I blamed it on my niece.
