I used to have a whole list somewhere; I'll see if I can find it.

There were no footprints besides their own.

There were no human footprints, they might not have been looking for bear footprints. Also, the bear might have only attacked the camp and didn't follow them, the ground around the camp would be too mulled over to make out bear footprints.

That is a better point. However, the bear might not have caused any injuries, a fall could have caused that bone damage.

Here's some more good (and by good I of course mean creepy) Wikipedia articles:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel%27s_Hole
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clapham_Wood_Mystery
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly-Hopkinsville_encounter
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chase_Vault

Edit: How could I forget:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mothman

Weird places and events are probably my favorite things to read about on the internet.

I got confused by the second article so I deleted it until I'd have read it and then if that wasn't the case, I'd post it again.

Then I just got lazy and eventually forgot

The case said the tent was destroyed from the inside by the campers, so I don't think an avalanche from the outside would have been the cause of damage. And if it was an avalanche... Wouldn't everything be under more snow than usual?

And by more snow you mean like this?

That must have been one tiny avalanche. Still doesn't explain why the tent was destroyed and torn apart from the inside.

And I'm quite aware of the paradoxical undressing and my only qualm is with how they tried to explain the destruction of the tent.

EDIT: Unless you meant it was the paradoxical undressing that made them go crazy and tear the tent up. Yeah, that would be a better argument than the supposed avalanche.
